Sea Ilfracombe 2017 will take place on the first weekend of September – Sat & Sun, 2nd and 3rd September.
The Festival will be centred around the Old Bus Station Car Park (Ropery Road/Broad Street), around the harbour and on the pier.
The car park venue will feature a sound stage with a full programme of music on Saturday and Sunday plus an exciting variety of food outlets. Open mic sessions will be held in the Lifeboat House (Thanks RNLI) over the weekend.
The harbour events include sailing lessons with Y-Sail (Yacht Club), historic lifeboat trips on Hampshire Rose, fishing from the pier with Combe Martin Sea Angling Club and a crabbing competition (with prizes).
Throughout the weekend there will lots to see and do – street entertainers (including Punch and Judy, the Mermaid story teller, facepainting, a special appearance of Captain Jack Sparrow and ‘characters’ from Ilfracombe Holiday Park) , guided walks around parts of the Torrs and Capstone. There’s too much to describe here so have a look at the full programme, the music and street entertainers lineup and checkout the foodstalls.
